Though never have visited the Newbury shop, I was served a superb hot brown crusty roll (with prawn mayo salad), at The Bell in Aldworth. They told me there that there supplier was Hethertons, hence this post
I was so pleased to find an independent bakery and even more happy to discover their freshly-made deli sandwiches and rolls. My crusty roll with chicken and bacon and salad was absolutely delicious and I plan to return for more treats soon.
Visited the Bakery for the BEST bacon bap in Newbury. Large bap, three really good bacon rashers. Also purchased a lovely iced bun for later. Great place for home baked bread as well. Total cost £3.60.(£2.50 Bap 90p Bun.)
A lovely little Bakery and cake shop Staff always very friendly, helpful and polite . The bread ,rolls and cakes are all delicious. I especially love the iced fingers . Unfortunately today my bun came in pre wrapped plastic rather than the nice little paper bags . The icing stuck to the plastic which was very disappointing. Please can we have the usual paper bags instead of this nasty plastic . Thank you

Amazing proper bakery, what a find! The staff are absolutely lovely and very helpful! The loaf I brought is fantastic, fresh, crusty and actually tasty! Hoorah! I’m glad I took a chance bought 3 so I could freeze a couple down, reasonably priced too! Well done for providing a great bakery!

Roast pork crusty roll very very tasty. Pork was delicious soft and the roll its amazing. Best bakery in Newbury I will say.
One of the best bakeries I have used in a while, they are now a little far for me to go to get my bread. But thankfully they supply my local Farm Shop - Casey Fields or Vickers Game. So I can get their amazing Cheese and Onion rolls there, and their dougnuts are to die for.
This bakery is a gem. It offers a wonderful selection of fresh bread, delicious pastries, sandwiches and many more. Staff is very friendly, and they prepare your order the way you want it. Highly recommended.
